A global study of the conformers of 1,2-propanediol and new vibrationally excited states

•The astrochemically relevant molecule 1,2-propanediol is studied between 75 and 110GHz.•Six vibronic ground state conformers are observed, and global fits are performed.•Rotational constants for three vibrationally excited states are reported.•Further vibrational states are found to be perturbed and require further study.•Rotational constants and line lists will facilitate astronomical detection.
