•EuroTARGET is a European project including 920 patients with mRCC with a TKI as first-line treatment.•Most EuroTARGET patients (78%) received sunitinib as first-line TKI.•Multiplatform omics techniques are applied to identify predictive biomarkers.•EuroTARGET data will be freely available.
