Urothelial carcinoma of the renal pelvis: A single-center experience.

e15623 Background: Upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare disease. Thus, little evidence-based data are available to guide clinical decision-making. Our aim is to evaluate clinical and pathologycal features of patients with urothelial carcinoma of the renal pelvis. Methods: Eleven patients ( 8 males , 3 females), who were diagnosed with urothelial carcinoma of the renal pelvis in our clinic between the years 2008 – 2012 , were assessed retrospectively. Age, gender, performance status (PS), lymphovascular invasion ( LVI), stage, grade, single agent or combined administration of treatment, progression-free survival (PFS) and overall (OS) were investigated. Results: Median follow-up period was 24 months (4- 44), and median age was 65 years (49 - 73). Ten patients had been operated . In 8 patients, PS was 1-2 and LVI were detected in 7 patients.
