摘要
The formulation and the preparation of new pharmaceutical forms conducted by the great companies can represent a danger for the environment because of their toxic potential. The study suggests a new method for the treatment of the wastewater from the pharmaceutical industry that uses polyethylene glycols, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as the forming matrix polymers and nitrites as toxic waste. The novelty of the method consists in the high capacity of withholding the toxic element in spite of the fact that the jellification potential of the polymers used in compression; this makes the removal of nitrates from the treatment column more difficult. The polluting element considered in this study is the nitrate anion present in the oral biomucoadhesive tablets and the resin used for withholding the toxic element is the DowexTM NSR-1. Thus, after the pharmaceutical form has been introduced in distilled water and the resulting solution was filtered using the Dowex resin, a chemical trial report of the water was made and all the parameters studied were below the admissible limits of the regulations in force.
