Outcomes of Colorectal Resection for Gynecologic Malignancy: A Report From the Washington State Surgical Care and Outcomes Assessment Program

Gastrointestinal surgeons are often asked to consult on cases involving gynecologic malignancies, especially those affecting the lower intestinal tract. Potential issues include local invasion into the colon or rectum, tumor deposits, radiation damage, and iatrogenic injury during gynecologic resection. We aimed to describe characteristics of such patients requiring a colorectal resection.
