Introduction of pinning centers into Sm 1+x Ba 2 Cu 3+Y O 7-d coated conductor by Reactive Co-evaporation Method

摘要
•We successfully synthesized two Sm1+xBa2Cu3+yO7−d (SmBCO)-coated conductors containing pinning centers via a reactive co-evaporation method using the EDDC (Evaporation using Drum in Dual Chamber) deposition system.•The superconducting properties of the samples under a magnetic field were highly influenced by the composition of the SmBCO film. This is significant because pinning centers could be formed using only superconducting elements without adding any other elements.•The reported gradient deposition method based on a simultaneous evaporation technique will allow us to determine optimal superconducting properties, crystal orientations, and thin film surface morphologies in a wide range of composition ratios.
