摘要
•Furan on Pd(111) terraces at 225 K lies flat and adsorbs at upper step edges.•Furan molecules diffuse more easily on a narrow terrace than a wide one at ∼200 K.•Upper step edges catalyze furan decomposition, and C3H3 diffuses to lower edges.•C3H3 decomposition products are visible at 415 K and on narrow terraces at 288 K.
