摘要

•Er:Yb:LuPO4 and Er:Yb:Ce-LuPO4 crystals were firstly grown by high-temperature solution method.•The detailed polarization absorption spectroscopic of Er:Yb:LuPO4 crystal were reported for the first time.•The NIR emission spectroscopic of Er:Yb:Ce-LuPO4 suggest it’s a potential material for ∼1.5 μm laser output.
