Accurate radius measurement of multi-bend tubes based on stereo vision

•An accurate vision-based method is proposed to measure radius of multi-bend tubes.•A mapping from tube’s 3D center line to the edge points on images.•A segmented parametric model is formulated to explain the tube’s curved part.•The accuracy and efficiency of the method meet the requirement in applications.
