摘要
The purpose of this study was to investigate the flotation behavior of long flame coal pretreated by grinding with a collector, as well as, grinding without any collector. Laser particle size analysis, Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were utilized to analyze the characteristics of the coal samples. The classic first-order model was also utilized to simulate the flotation time-combustible matter recovery test. The results showed that it was beneficial to obtain flotation products with a lower ash content and higher combustible recovery for long flame coal pretreated by grinding with a collector compared with grinding alone, and the flotation rate constant of coal grounded with collector was much higher than that of grinding alone. Furthermore, more of the oil collector was adsorbed on the surface of coal particles pretreated by grinding with a collector compared with grinding alone, and the contact angle of long flame coal increased by grinding with a collector compared with that pretreated with grinding directly at any given collector dosage. It was also found that more fine particles were recovered in the flotation process pretreated by grinding with a collector.
