Synthesis and structures of aluminum ion-pair complexes that act as L- and racemic-lactide ring opening polymerization initiators

Aluminum ion-pair complexes consisting of a bis-ligated, octahedral aluminum cation complex and a tetrahedral aluminum anion complex were active for the ring opening polymerization of L- and rac-lactide.
