Synthesis of six 8-quinolinate-based ruthenium complexes with high catalytic activity for nitroarene reduction

Based on 2-substituted quinolinate ligands with different substituent groups, six half-sandwich ruthenium complexes have been synthesized and characterized. The catalytic activities of the Ru(II)–quinolinate complexes are controlled by the organic ligands with different functional substituents.
