Preparation of SSZ-13 zeolites from beta zeolite and their application in the conversion of ethylene to propylene

•Beta zeolites were firstly converted into SSZ-13 zeolites.•The inter-conversion of zeolites could be explained with pore size.•The obtained SSZ-13s could be successfully applied in the ethylene-to-propylene.•There might be an optimum silica/alumina ratio of SSZ-13s for the ETP reaction.•The SSZ-13, converted from beta, was very competitive in ETP (stable conversion).
