摘要

•Two novel isomeric decamethylhenicosanes were isolated and identified.•The two novel alkanes are proposed to be new biomarkers for the B race of B. braunii.•The NMR-based structure is also confirmed with Lindeman–Adams calculations of δC.•A geochemical pathway for the formation of the new isomers is proposed.
