Field pulse induced magnetic memory effect at room temperature in exchange coupled NiFe2O4/NiO nanocomposites

•Magnetic memory effect induced by field pulse in NiFe2O4/NiO nanocomposites is investigated.•The magnitude of memory effect can be tuned by pulsed-field strength and field pulse sequence.•The field pulse driven memory effect is attributed to the multiple distribution of magnetic energy scales.
