摘要
Penile fracture is an uncommon urological emergency. It is classically characterised by the traumatic rupture of the tunica albuginea of corpus cavernosum.1,2 It occurs secondary to blunt or sexual trauma to the erect penis during sexual intercourse or aggressive masturbation.2 Occasionally, penile fracture can be complicated by the involvement of the urethra or corpus spongiosum.1,3 However, isolated corpus spongiosum injury without concomitant corpus cavernosum injury is extremely rare with only two cases described in the literature to our knowledge.1 We report a case of isolated posterior corpus spongiosum injury in a young man who presented following a ‘typical’ penile fracture mechanism and was managed successfully with a conservative approach.
