Medium- and long-term follow-up of transcatheter closure of ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm in Central Europe population.

•Transcatheter closure of ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is safe and effective.•Such approach provides good clinical outcomes.•In selected patients could replace surgery and become the first method of treatment.•Recurrent shunts after transcatheter approach are possible.•Recurrent shunts can be successfully treated percutaneously.
