Ntegrin Αιιbβ3 As Potential Biomarker of High On-Treatment Platelet Reactivity to Clopidogrel in Patients with an Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objectives: Platelet aggregation is mediated through fibrinogen binding to the activated state of integrin αΙΙbβ3. Some acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients receiving dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with aspirin and clopidogrel, experience recurrent ischemic events due to high on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) to clopidogrel. We investigated the activated state of αΙΙbβ3 in resting platelets as a potential biomarker of HTPR to clopidogrel in ACS patients.
