Abstract
A new family of IrIII polypyridyl complexes is described and employed as photocatalysts in the aerial oxidation of organosulfides and S-containing amino acids. In this cover the blue LED strip used as the light source in the catalytic photooxidation has been envisaged as a symbolic photoreactor. The artwork also includes a sketch of the dual mechanism disclosed for this reaction where both singlet oxygen and superoxide are the actual oxidants.
