Chemotherapy in elderly patients with pancreatic cancer: Efficacy, feasibility and future perspectives

•Incidence of pancreatic cancer in patients ≥65 will increase in next years.•No phase III data are available on the chemotherapy for elderly patients with PDAC.•Existing evidence suggests a chemotherapy benefit in the adjuvant setting and in advanced disease.•A proper patients selection is mandatory for a successful treatment.•New variables are emerging toward a tailored-therapy in elderly PDAC patients.
