摘要

•A new asymptotic expression for the Nusselt number Nux for large β and arbitrary Pr is identifie.•For β≫1 the dependence of Nux on the two parameters (Pr,β) can be reduced to just one combined ratio Pr/β.•For point-sink flow, the solution for the boundary layer temperature is not self-similar.
