摘要

•The content of SiOxCy on SiC surface decreased after nitric acid treatment.•SiOxCy had great effect on the electron density and reduction degree of cobalt species.•The decrease of SiOxCy on SiC surface allowed a significant improvement of the C5+ selectivity of Co/SiC catalysts.
