摘要
Background: Patients with an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) treated with targeted temperature management (TTM) have improved survival. However, real world use of TTM and hospital deviation from recommended TTM practices (duration ≥24h, initiation of TTM 4h from hospital arrival), and overcooling (temperature u003c 32°C). We calculated median odds ratios (MOR) to quantify the likelihood that care at two randomly selected hospitals for patients with identical characteristics differed. Results: Of 37,898 OHCA patients, 21,102 survived to one of 186 participating hospitals, where 3,429 (16%) received TTM. Mean age was 62y and 30% were women. Rates of TTM ...
