Patients Admitted to Intensive Care with Haematological Malignancies in an Australian Tertiary Hospital; A Retrospective 10 Year Audit
Australian Critical Care(2019)
Abstract
Introduction: Over the past 20 years the literature has described improved survival for patients with haematological malignancies (HM) treated in intensive care. However, the decision to admit patients with complications of HM to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) remains complex with uncertainty regarding prognostic indicators and outcomes. There is minimal published data on outcomes of critically ill patients with HM in Australia.
