A photoacoustic and fluorescence dual-mode probe for LTA4H imaging reveals inflammation site in murine

•A photoacoustic and fluorescence dual-mode probe for LTA4H sensing was developed.•Cy-ASP has high selectivity and high sensitivity toward LTA4H.•Combined with PA technology, Cy-ASP could image the activity of LTA4H in mice without dissection.•The probe Cy-ASP could fast locate the inflammation site in mice.
