摘要

•This study explored “obesity paradox” in a large-scale contemporary cohort of consecutive AMI patients.•Increased BMI was independently associated with decreased in-hospital mortality.•Among most subgroups there was a trend towards lower in-hospital mortality risk as BMI increased.
