A uranium capture strategy based on self-assembly in a hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liquid extraction system.

A novel and efficient uranium capture strategy based on self-assembly is developed in an ionic liquid extraction system, by which the onestep separation and solidification of uranium are realized. This not only provides a promising method for separating metal ions but also promotes the development of a supramolecular assembly both in mechanism and application.
