Low-noise repetition-rate multiplication method is proposed by combining harmonic injection locking and gain-saturated SOA. A 1-GHz optical pulse train with 33-dB side-mode-suppression-ratio, 3% modulation depth, and 6.3-fs absolute rms timing jitter [10kHz-1MHz] is demonstrated. (C) 2019 The Author(s)
