We present a bias-free, telecommunication-compatible photoconductive terahertz source, which offers radiation powers exceeding 0.25 mW, enabling time-domain terahertz spectroscopy with more than a 90 dB dynamic range over a 0.1-3.5 THz bandwidth. (C) 2019 The Author(s)
