Effect of levetiracetam monotherapy on lipid profiles and thyroid hormones in children with epilepsy: A prospective study.

•Prospective evaluation of serum lipid profiles and thyroid hormones in children on levetiracetam (LEV), up to 12 months.•Triglycerides (TGs) and TGs / high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio were decreased during LEV treatment.•Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol / high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio was decreased during LEV therapy.•There were no significant alterations in the other parameters during the study.
