State-level marijuana policies and marijuana use and marijuana use disorder among a nationally representative sample of adults in the United States, 2015-2017: Sexual identity and gender matter.

•Bisexual women’s daily MJ use is seven times higher than heterosexual women’s.•State MMLs were associated with bisexual women’s past-year and medical MJ use.•State MMLs were associated with heterosexual men and women’s MJ use.•State MMLs were associated with gay men’s past year and medical MJ use.•MMLs are disproportionately associated with bisexual women’s medical MJ use.
