摘要
Components of Ti-6Al-4 V/Al-6.25Cu dissimilar alloys were manufactured via wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) using cold metal transfer (CMT) technology. Additive manufactured components were obtained irrespective of the deposition order. When the Ti alloy was deposited first, brazing joining occurred between the Ti and Al alloys and TiAl3 formed in the reaction layer. Otherwise, fusion joining occurred, and TiAl3, TiAl, and Ti3Al formed in a thicker reaction layer. The average tensile strengths of the samples obtained by depositing the Ti or Al alloys first were 108 and 30 MPa, respectively. Brittle fracture occurred in all samples. Depositing the Ti alloy first was found to be more suitable for the CMT-based WAAM of Ti/Al dissimilar alloys.
