Integrated deep learning and stochastic car-following model for traffic dynamics on multi-lane freeways

•A multi-lane stochastic CF model captures random vehicular characteristics.•A convolutional neural network method is used to predict a real-time LC probability.•Predicted vehicular trajectories are very close to the observations in all lanes.
