The temperature-dependent electric properties of ZnO-doped Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3–BiCoO3 lead-free piezoceramics

In order to resolve the depolarization of Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-based ceramics, the ZnO particles was introduced into the relaxor ferroelectric Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-0.025BiCoO(3) ceramics. The depolarization temperature increases with increasing ZnO content, the T-d increase from around 150 degrees C to around 180 degrees C at 0.3 mol% ZnO. The BNT-0.025BC ceramics doped with 0.1 mol% ZnO possessed high ferroelectric properties (P-s = 37.0811 mu C/cm(2), P-r = 33.7322 mu C/cm(2) and E-c = 6.49315 kV/mm). These results not only can be used for making high temperature electromechanical devices, but also have great effect on the understanding of the mechanism of the depolarization.
