Synthesis of novel and environmental sustainable AgI-Ag2S nanospheres impregnated g-C3N4 photocatalyst for efficient degradation of aqueous pollutants

摘要
•Novel and environmentally friendly synthesis of AgI-Ag2S@g-C3N4 a double Z-scheme photocatalyst.•The AgI-Ag2S@g-C3N4 has been used for the degradation of aqueous pollutants.•Evans blue and Congo red have been used as model organic dyes for this study.•The AgI-Ag2S@g-C3N4 photocatalyst can able to degrade 98.4 and 94.2% of EB and CR within 50 and 30 min.•The AgI-Ag2S@g-C3N4 photocatalyst exhibits excellent cyclic stability and photoelectrochemical activity than pristine g-C3N4.
