Development of facilitated transport membranes composed of a dense gel layer containing CO2 carrier formed on porous cylindrical support membranes

•Cylindrical facilitated transport membrane for CO2 separation was developed.•Dense gel layer with CO2 carrier was formed on cylindrical porous support membrane.•The gel layer thickness of the functional gel layer was lower than 5μm.•The developed membrane had high CO2 permeance of more than 500GPU.•The CO2 permeability was strongly depended on the support membranes.
