Thermal conductivity of sands treated with microbially induced calcite precipitation (MICP) and model prediction

•Sand thermal conductivity is significantly improved by the MICP technique.•Improvement in sand thermal conductivity increases as the MICP treatment cycles increases.•The proposed model exhibits high degree of prediction accuracy for MICP treated sands.
