Fine structure of mouthparts and forelegs of Euplatypus parallelus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) with emphasis on the behavior of gallery excavation.

•The size of maxillary palpi, submentum, prementum and labial palpi in females of E. parallelus are larger than males.•The procoxa of male was slightly larger than in females of E. parallelus.•We observed that the behavior of Euplatypus parallelus in entrance burrow.
