Authors' reply to: Comment on the article by Dr. Toshima about alopecia areata multiplex following autologous dermal micrograft injection.

The aim of our case report by Toshima et al. , was to describe the clinical course of alopecia areata (AA) that developed in a patient with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) who underwent autologous dermal micrograft injection. The triggers of AA and exacerbating factors remain unknown, thus, we focused on reporting the intriguing aspects of this case, including the loss of immune privilege after autologous dermal micrograft injection, with consideration of the limitations inherent in a single patient case report.
