Distributed Antennas Scheme for Orbital Angular Momentum Long-Distance Transmission
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters(2020)
摘要
Orbital angular momentum (OAM) transmission is expected to be implemented for large capacity communication. However, the beam divergence brings severe difficulties for the long-distance transmission especially in the radio frequency (RF). As a promising solution, a distributed antennas scheme for OAM long-distance reception is highlighted in this letter. In order to realize synchronization and offsets compensation between different receiving signals, a distributed compensation network with its feedback links is also proposed and illustrated. Specifically, a novel frame format is designed for the multiplexed OAM signals. The experiments show that this scheme can effectively separate multiple OAM signals and reduce the crosstalk between different channels, which leads to a good experimental bit error rate (BER) with acceptable links overhead. The proposed design is expected to be the promising applications in the future wireless communications such as the fronthauls and the backhauls.
