•The SPP transmittance through graphene nanoresonators strongly depends on system geometry.•The pumping of semiconductor NW inside the graphene nanoresonator provides the switching of SPP transmittance.•The characteristics of designed graphene switcher are 20 nm size and 50 GHz clock frequency.
