Enhancements of preparation efficiency and magnetic properties for Fe-based amorphous magnetic flake powder cores upon the adoption of a novel double-paralleled slits nozzle

•A novel double-paralleled slits nozzle was proposed to fabricate the thick and brittle Fe-based amorphous ribbons.•Preparation efficiency of amorphous flake powders was enhanced by using the thick and brittle ribbons.•The powder cores fabricated using the thick amorphous ribbon pulverization exhibit a higher permeability, low core loss, and better DC-bias.
