Ecological uniqueness of fish communities from streams in modified landscapes of Eastern Amazonia

•Modified streams may show high ecological uniqueness for fish communities.•At local scale, pasture streams were the largest contributors to fish β diversity.•At landscape scale, forest streams were the main contributors to fish β diversity.•Both specialist and generalist taxa contributed to β diversity of fish communities.
