摘要

•LS-HB is a photosensitizer with a light absorption peak of 660 nm wavelength.•LS-HB-PDT exhibited excellent antitumor effect with low side effect on hepatocellular carcinoma.•ROS induced tumor tissue necrosis and thrombus maybe the main mechanism of LS-HB-PDT.•LS-HB is a promising photosensitizer.
