Predicting and Ranking Box Office Revenue of Movies Based on Big Data

•We comprehensively investigate influential factors for a movie’s box office.•We study a BOR prediction framework taking full consideration of the above factors.•We propose a dynamic heterogeneous network embedding model to learn movie participants.•A deep network configuration is designed to capture features from trailers.•The real-world evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness of our framework.
