Prenatal perfluoroalkyl substances and newborn anogenital distance in a Canadian cohort

•Exposure to perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) is widespread.•Some PFAS may have androgenic endocrine-disrupting properties.•Prenatal plasma PFOA was associated with small increase in anoscrotal distance.•No evidence of PFOS, PFOA or PFHxS and shorter anogenital distance in males.•No evidence of androgenic effects of PFAS on anogenital distance in females.
