Estimating snow depth by combining satellite data and ground-based observations over Alaska: A deep learning approach

•A deep learning snow-depth retrieval algorithm was proposed.•GNSS-R estimates were fused with satellite and meteorological station observations.•The deep learning based model outperformed other snow depth retrieval models.•The effectiveness of fusing GNSS-R estimation was validated.•Snow depth variation in Alaska was related to ENSO.
