摘要

•Al2O3 passivation layer was employed to coat high nickel NCM cathode via ALD method.•Al2O3 coated NCM shows better cycling and rate capability than pristine at 2.7–4.4 V.•Al2O3 coated NCM shows better cycling and rate capability than pristine at 60 °C.•Al2O3 coated NCM shows better cycling and rate capability than pristine at 2.7–4.8 V.
