The Method for Power Flow Calculation with Doubly-fed Wind Turbine Integration into Power System

Since the construct of doubly-fed wind turbine is different from synchronous generator, when wind farm based on doubly-fed wind turbine integration into power system, the method for traditional power flow calculation may cause more calculation error. This paper researches on the electromagnetic characteristics and control strategy of doubly-fed wind turbine, and proposes the processing method for doubly-fed wind turbine when using newton raphson method for power flow calculation. The validity of this method is validated on IEEE 14 bus system.
