The influence of quality of work-life on organization commitment of nurses in Hasanuddin University Hospital

Objective: This study aimed to examine the influence of quality of work-life and its dimensions on organizational commitment among nurses working in Hasanuddin University Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional study was used in this study. Data were collected using a questionnaire. A total of 123 bedside nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital completed the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS software. For statistical analysis, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis was used. Result: Results of the regression analysis showed Quality of Work-Life explained 43.8% of organizational commitment variance. The result of the study showed that the quality of work-life (p=0.000 < 0.05) statistically significantly influence organizational commitment. Among QWL dimensions, save the environment, career development and pride had a significant effect on organizational commitment. Conclusion: It concluded that the strongest QWL dimension affecting nurses' organizational commitment was pride. (C) 2020 Elsevier Espana, S.L.U. All rights reserved.
